1925年（大正14年）鹿児島生まれの「ボンタンアメ」の伝統のパッケージデザインをモチーフに、北欧のデザインテイストを取り入れて新たに描きおこした「ボンタンアメ®パターン」。フィンランド ヘルシンキを拠点に活動するテキスタイルデザイナー Eri Shimatsuka さんによるデザインです。
Good old Japan's favorite “Bontan Ame” candy was born in Kagoshima, Japan in 1925. With its motif in traditional “Bontan Ame” candy package design, this new “Bontan Ame Pattern” is designed in Nordic taste, by the textile designer Eri Shimatsuka, who bases her activities in Helsinki, Finland.

もちもちとしてやわらかく 弾力のある食感と、口いっぱいに広がる南国特産果実 ボンタン（文旦）の爽やかな風味で、1925年（大正14年）の発売から今なお愛され続ける「ボンタンアメ」。九州産のもち米「ヒヨクモチ」を主原料に、鹿児島の工場で丁寧に作り上げています。グミのようなソフトキャンディーのような、他にはないオリジナリティにあふれるロングセラー菓子です。
“Bontan Ame” candy has been loved in Japan since 1925, with its chewy and elastic mouthfeel and refreshing taste of “bontan”, a kind of citrus fruit of tropical origin. Using “Hiyokumochi”, glutinous rice of Kyushu region in Japan as a main ingredient, Bontan Ame is produced in a factory in Kagoshima. It might recall a gummy candy or a soft candy, but there is nothing like this long-seller, one and only candy.
Eri Shimatsuka
フィンランド ヘルシンキ在住のテキスタイルデザイナー、イラストレーター。2007年フィンランドに移住し、アアルト大学 (Aalto University) でテキスタイルデザインを学び、マリメッコ社 (Marimekko Corporation) でデザイナーとして勤務。2014年より独立し、フィンランド国内外の企業にデザインを提供する他、森のテキスタイルシリーズなど、暮らしを楽しくするオリジナルプロダクトのプロデュースも手掛ける。2022年に初の絵本『Kettu ja hiljaisuus（仮：きつねと静けさ）』(Otava) がフィンランドで出版される。
Eri Shimatsuka works as a textile designer and an illustrator in Helsinki, Finland. She moved to Finland in 2007 to study textile design at Aalto University, and soon started her career at Marimekko Corporation as a designer. After becoming an independent designer in 2014, she has been designing for many companies in and out of Finland. Besides that she also engages in producing original products such as the forest design textile series. In 2022, her first picture book, “Kettu ja hiljaisuus” (Otava) was published in Finland.
